Pituitary Gland – The Glandmaster
The pituitary is the hormone boss! Even though this gland is just a tiny little pea-sized nubbin dangling beneath your brain, it controls all other endocrine glands. However, it is in turn controlled by the hypothalamus, so who's the boss, really? Its main functions include stimulating growth, regulating blood pressure, sex hormones, metabolism and water regulation. It's one busy gland.
